Many women step away from traditional employment to raise children, care for family, migrate, or navigate changing responsibilities. Their abilities remain.
Turtlewonder aims to create a welcoming platform where women can use creative skills, work flexibly from home, regain confidence, and participate in meaningful income opportunities.

Meet the founder
Sushma Nambiar
Founder, Turtlewonder
Sushma’s journey has been shaped by learning, family, creativity, and service. After completing studies in English Literature and Systems Management, she gained experience in banking and customer engagement before pursuing counselling, life skills, communication, and art therapy.
She also volunteered in India supporting children with cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental disabilities. After migrating to Australia in 2018, Sushma focused on helping her family settle into a new chapter.
Her search for a meaningful direction led her to crochet. What began as a creative interest grew into shawls, winter garments, accessories, keychains, and amigurumi—and ultimately into the idea for Turtlewonder.
